About Thai Binh

Thai Binh is a peaceful countryside, a coastal eastern province situated in the Red River Delta. This land is fortified by the edifice of the Red River and Thai Binh River, so the subsequent fertile soil was excellent for growing rice, making Thai Binh one of the biggest granaries in Vietnam.

In Thai Binh, you will have the opportunity to explore interesting tourist attractions such as ancient pagodas from the Ly - Tran Dynasties, historical relics and charming beaches such as Dong Chau Beach, Con Den Beach, Con Vanh Beach,... Moreover, you'll also have the chance to experience the excitement of nearly 200 traditional festivals here.

Weather

You can travel to Thai Binh from May to September in the summer to swim and enjoy the wild beauty of the sea here. Especially in December, the canola flowers in Hoi Khe Village are in full bloom, best suited to take beautiful pictures.

Transport

The distance from capital Hanoi to Thai Binh is more than 100 kilometers long. You can catch a coach at My Dinh Bus Station, Giap Bat Bus Station, or travel by personal motorcycle. Because Thai Binh does not have a commercial airport, if you're far away from Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, you can take a flight to Noi Bai Airport, then travel to tourist attractions.

Notes when experiencing the "infinity sea" of Thai Binh that you need to know

Location Quang Lang Beach belongs to Quang Lang village, Thuy Hai commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province. The destination is about 38km from Thai Binh city, about 120km from Hanoi. Quang Lang Beach is located next to the mouth of the Yan Ho River - a small tributary of the Red River. The characteristic of this place is the brown alluvial sand, which is flat and spread all over looking like a giant mirror reflecting the scenery and sky. This alluvial beach is about 7km wide, with a sea surface full of water. Early on, people went to the beach to catch nail snails by using iron rods to catch them Photo: ictvietnam/Flick Time To see the "infinity sea", you have to go very early, about 2-3 am to be here to go to the sea. Note the sea level because the tide rises and falls. From September 1st to 6th, all mornings the water is high, so people should not go there. The right time to come here to take photos this month is from September 7 - 12 and September 23 - 26. Travel Distance To get to the "infinity sea", you have to park your car and walk through the mud for about 3km to get to the sea. Since this area is an estuary, there is a lot of mud, silt, and the road is very slippery, so you have to go carefully. Photo: Nguyen Quang Minh/Doan Ngoc Anh/Aries_2302 Note Bring few belongings, bring the essentials when going to the sea Go early to choose a spot and catch the sunrise Bring boots (if applicable) or wear non-slip shoes Bring a small chair or folding chair because the sea of ginseng is flooded, you can't sit and wait for a few hours, your legs are very tired! Bring drinking water and snacks. If you go with children, it is a bit hard because you have to get up early and the walking path is quite long and difficult to walk. It should be considered. Pay attention to the tide, if you don't want to have an effortless trip without beautiful photos to bring back. Do not take garbage to the sea and if there is, remember to bring it back after check-in. The best paparazzi only lasts about 15 minutes when the sun has just risen, and the pink light covers the space. If the sun rises too high, the bright light will be difficult to photograph.
