Be Man Seafood is always crowded with people eating and drinking because of its popular, spacious space, sea breeze cage and seafood dishes rich in sea flavor. Each plate of seafood here is always full, making you full but the price is extremely reasonable. You can order yourself an extra bottle of beer and a little food to fully enjoy the taste of the dishes at the restaurant.

You need to be adventurous and a bit of a risk-taker to try the the seafood restaurants in Da Nang. Some Vietnamese language skills are also helpful. Our family ticks all these boxes so we went to one of our favourites, the Be Man seafood restaurant on Vo Nguyen Giap, right across from the beach.
Even though it was a Thursday night around 7pm, the place was already packed. I did my usual and claimed a table and settled in with a cold bottle of Bia Saigon, while my wife and daughter went hunting for our dinner!
The restaurant probably holds well over 500 people, and all the seafood is ultra-fresh. Straight from the sea across the road, into tanks, and off your go to select your dishes. This night we stayed away from the crustaceans and went for fish and shells! A lovely bowl of mussels with chilli and lemongrass, delightful oysters, and the main course, a steamed fish. All delicious.
Now the meal is just part of the experience. Getting the attraction of waiters for drinks is a challenge, and avoided patrons is another. You can have a table of 20 adjacent and if they are in the mood, beer, spirits and cognac end up in free-flow. No point in filling the tables with shells, chopsticks, napkins etc , they just end-up on the floor, as do occasionally some of the patrons. Not too mind, when that group leaves the staff come-in with brooms and tidyup ready for the next group.
Then there are the hawkers that come to your table offering lottery tickets, crackers, cigarettes, even ukeleles! All part of the fun.
Our meal cost around VND1m or $43. Great value.
