Hai Van Range is not only famous for the "mighty first heaven" on the top, but also the landmark of Don Ca arch bridge at the foot of the mountain with a different "classic beauty", attracting visitors.
As its name suggests, Don Ca arch bridge has a unique arch architecture, built mainly of stone located at the foot of the majestic Hai Van range between Da Nang City and Thua Thien-Hue province. Don Ca Arch Bridge was built in the early 20th century. The bridge has a height of 20m with a length of about 100m, bending across a romantic stream.
Visitors when reaching the top of Hai Van pass, going another 5 km to the north (towards Thua Thien-Hue province) will encounter the ranger's weekly station. Opposite this ranger station, there is a small concrete road leading down to Hai Yunbei station. When arriving at Hai Yunbei station, visitors can park motorbikes here and walk about 1 km along the North-South railway, towards Da Nang. After about 30 minutes walking, Fort Ca arch bridge will appear in front of your eyes with a row of characteristic railings. In particular, the most impressive of Don Ca arch bridge is the soft curved strip that looks very poetic.
When visitors driving vehicles on concrete roads must be very careful because the road is quite small and wet, moss on the road surface will cause slippery.
