Weekends without television, without air conditioning at Pu Luong Retreat

Translated by Bing
Many modern facilities are not available at Pu Luong Retreat (Thanh Hoa) but still ensure basic amenities, airy space to bring visitors a closer experience to nature.

Pu Luong Retreat is the name most mentioned by tourists recently when wishing to explore and relax among Thanh Hoa mountains and forests. The resort is located in Pu Luong nature reserve, about 180 km from Hanoi.

With many photos and sharing of visitors who have stayed here, the resort quickly created a small craze with those who love to explore and seek novelty. This is a separate resort, operating as a hotel. With a small space of only 2 stilt houses and 5 bungalows in an area of about 3000 m2, the resort cannot welcome visitors freely or those who do not book in advance.

In order for visitors to be closer to the forest and mountains, feel more deeply about nature, this place is not equipped with televisions, refrigerators, air conditioners or other entertainment services... Something that some visitors find quite strange at a resort. However, this place has free wifi that works quite stably throughout the accommodation space. The resort restricts party activities, singing all night, ensuring absolute tranquility for visitors after 10pm. It is also the general principle of behavior of the community living in the peaceful villages of the surrounding Thai ethnic people. For the safety of the resort and the sanctuary, there is a fire ban, so visitors are also not allowed to light campfires.

Families with young children should also consider choosing Pu Luong Retreat as a place to stay as the resort does not have a separate play area for children. The resort is designed in an open space, close to nature, ponds, fields, families also need to pay more attention to the children. The swimming pool here uses high mountain water, flowing in and out of circulation, without using chemicals, so it is clean and safe. However, on days when the weather changes, the tank may appear algae moss and is usually changed water after one to two weeks.

Located in a nature reserve, most of the materials in the room are environmentally friendly and manufactured in the Pu Luong area and then stylized and improved.

The on-site restaurant serves traditional European, Asian and Thai dishes with locally sourced ingredients. However, meals are required to be booked in advance as the place is far from malls and markets.

Coming to Pu Luong, you can participate in activities such as cycling, walking, kayaking, rafting ... In addition to learning about the diversity of flora and fauna in this beautiful nature reserve, you can also visit ethnic villages and learn about the cultural identity of the Thai people in Thanh Hoa.
