Please join us at the new immersive exhibition titled LAND, WATER, HEAVEN: CROSS-ENCOUNTERS, JOINING THREADS. The exhibit will be unveiled at the Temple of Literature during Vietnam Design Week from the 24th – 29th of September to celebrate UK- Vietnam heritage, sustainability and cross-cultural design exchange. Led by Wax Atelier (London), in collaboration with the Blue H’mong craftswomen of Pà Cò village (Hoà Bình), and KILOMET109 (Hà Nội), the exhibition explores the theme of design and sustainability through the metaphorical realms: LAND, WATER, HEAVEN.
Huu Vu's exhibition space will be divided into three parts or three realms: Heaven, Water, and Land. First, visitors will enter the Land realm, where practical and ceremonial objects as well as other discoveries from Hanoi, London and Pà Co are displayed. The journey continues to the Water Realm, where impressive displays of objects, models, and prototypes crafted using ropes, as well as braided stations to engage visitors directly in the crafting process. Finally, visitors will enter a small cinema, or celestial realm, where lively installations and movie screenings are shown.
