The first Tuyen Quang International Balloon Festival took place from 30/03/2022 to 03/04/2022 with the participation of more than 20 hot air balloons from all over the world such as the UK, USA, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Spain, the Netherlands and representing the flag of the Vietnamese host team.
The program took place at 3 locations: Tuyen Quang City, Son Duong District and Lam Binh District.
During the festival, visitors can experience many different activities: hanging flight, free flight. In particular, visitors who have a Vietjet boarding pass or e-ticket can fly a hot air balloon for free.
At the opening ceremony of Tuyen Quang Tourism Year 2022, Tuyen Quang province and Vietjet Airlines were certified by the Vietnam Records Organization as the largest international hot air balloon festival in Vietnam.
With the message "Tuyen Quang, a safe, friendly, and attractive destination," the province expects the hot air balloon festival to be a prominent highlight for the Tuyen Quang Tourism Year, contributing to the realization of the goal of welcoming over 2.2 million tourists in 2022.
Tuyen Quang fully converges its strengths in history, culture, majestic and diverse natural landscapes. All those factors create tourism potential for the province. Responding to the National Tourism Year 2022, Tuyen Quang province has organized a series of unique activities to promote and connect the province's cultural and tourism products with the whole country and the world, creating a new development step for Tuyen Quang tourism. Coming to Tuyen Quang tourism year 2022, visitors will have the opportunity to experience activities such as: Hot air balloon flying activities; visiting Na Hang; open kayak race; fire jumping festival of the Pa Thanh ethnic group and experience tours to visit primeval forests, caves, waterfalls; watching Hong Thai pear blossoms, experiencing the Community Tourism Cultural Village...
