Dawn Jazz Club
Behind the glitz and elegance of the Opera House is the oldest and most famous jazz bar in the city. Quyen Van Minh, the son of a saxophonist and guitarist, after first encountering this genre on American Radio, pursued his own musical journey, laying the foundation of jazz for the country's music scene.
Dawn Jazz Club is his enthusiasm in building a "reed court" to "bring" jazz "warriors" in. But it surpassed those initial expectations to become a place for both players and listeners, a place for souls who love this genre of music.
Starting at 9:00 p.m. every night, Quyen Van Minh and his students (including his son Quyen Thien Dac) blend rhythms from Latin, Funky, Blues Jazz to Vietnamese melodies with twists and turns. The atmosphere, energy, spirit and passion of the Dawn Jazz Club will bring the first image to the overall picture of Capital Jazz.
