Citadel of Mac Dynasty

Citadel of Mac Dynasty is located in Tam Thanh Ward, Lang Son City, about 150km from the center of Hanoi. Citadel of Mac Dynasty is an important and dangerous military architectural relic that guarded the unique road connecting Vietnam and China from the late sixteenth century to the middle of the seventeenth century. The castle was built in a prime location with its back to the three mountains To Thi, Lo Cot, and Mac Kinh Cung. Citadel of Mac Dynasty is classified as a national historical relics, embellished and put into service for tourists to visit. Not only with historical value, the ruins of Mac dynasty citadel are also considered an ideal place to see the panoramic view of Lang Son city at night sparkling and fanciful. When standing from the Mac citadel, looking out into the distance, visitors will see the majestic mountain range behind, below the valley is the city of Lang Son dim in extremely poetic mist.
